I Spy Party Wrap Up

Here are just a few random pictures to wrap up my I Spy Party posts.

When the kids arrived I had the tables set up with bags for them to decorate.  This is always my favorite way to start a party.  It allows the kids to have something to do while waiting for those last few straglers to arrive.

One of the other activities we did at the party was to play I Spy Bingo.  The kids won their choice on an I Spy book.

The only thing my kids consistently ask for at their parties is a pinata.  I searched everywhere for a magnifying glass pinata and this is the only one I could find.  It was originally a "Sid the Science Kid" pinata, but I blew up a copy of the I Spy logo and stuck it over the Sid picture.

The birthday boy!

A picture of the dining room all set up.  I went with paper lanterns this year instead of balloons and I really, really liked them.  It was so much easier to set up a day or two before the party and not have anything deflate on us.

Lastly, was the beverage set up at the party.  The glass canisters came from Target and the vinyl decal came from Etsy.

I Spy Birthday Cupcakes

Here's a look at the cupcakes we served at Cole's I Spy Birthday Party.  I make the picks myself using extra bingo chip markers.

Balloon Wreath with an I Spy Twist

I made a huge balloon wreath for our front door.  Seriously, this thing is huge.  I followed the tutorial I found here and then added some magnifying glasses to give it a little I Spy twist.  I plan to take out the magnifying glasses and store this sucker under the bed until our next birthday celebration.

I Spy Party {Goodie Bags}

These are what the goodie bags looked like that we gave out at the party.  The bags and most of the items in them came from Shutterfly.  My friend Shana made the little I Spy Bean Bags for the kids.  The kids also took home an I Spy puzzle as a prize for the treasure hunt and a book that that they won for a prize from the bingo game.

I Spy Party {I Spy Treasure Hunt}

Our second activity at the party involved hunting for treasure in a bucket of goo.  Technically the goo was Gelli Baff slime stuff.  Each kid was given a card with the 12 items that they needed to find on it. They dug around and when they filled their card the got to pick a puzzle out of the bucket.

I Spy Party {Make Your Own I Spy Bottle}

The first activity we did when the kids arrived at the party was for everyone to make their own I Spy Bottle.  I got the idea from here.  I ordered the Voss Water a couple of months in advance so I could use the bottles for the party.  I set up 21 little trays all with small objects in them and let the kids add one from each tray to their bottle.  After they were done choosing their I Spy items we filled the bottles about half way full with Plastic Bead Pellets.  I also added a little super glue to the lid before I sealed them up.

I Spy Party Invitation

Here's the invitation I put together for Cole's I Spy party.  I had Cole help me collect items from around the house to use for our I Spy picture.  I laid it all out on a white sheet and took a picture.  Then I photoshopped a picture of Cole into it.

I Spy Birthday Party

My baby turned 6 on Friday and starts Kindergarten on Monday so to say it's been busy around here would be an understatement.  I'm working on posting some actual content for you guys and getting caught up on a ton of photos I need to sort through.  We threw Cole an I Spy Birthday party last weekend and it was AWESOME!!!  Here's a little teaser preview until I get a chance to post more about the party.  Once I get all the pictures up you'll be able to view the complete party here: I Spy Birthday Party!
