Dragonfly Supply List: 1 toilet paper roll, paint, paint brush, glue, scissors, colored paper, google eyes, glitter glue, pipe cleaner
Start by painting your toilet paper roll and allowing it to dry. We decided to use black paint for the body of the dragonfly.
Cut two long oval strips from the colored paper and decorate with glitter glue.
Once Cole was finished painting the glitter glue on the wings I just laid them crossed on the table and allowed them to dry. No additional glue was needed because the glitter glue held them together.
Glue your wings and google eyes onto the body of the dragonfly. Poke 2 small holes to thread your pipe cleaner through antennae.
Book Suggestion: Are You a Dragonfly? is part of the Backyard Books series that we just absolutely love. In this book, you can follow the story of a nimble dragonfly with colorful wings who didn't begin his life as a dragonfly. This book is informative and entertaining, check it out at your local library if you get a chance.
