Elf on the Shelf Shenanigans {Day 3}
Tonight Elfie drew mustaches all over the framed pictures hanging in our stairwell. *If you use a dry erase marker they wipe off super easy.

Elf on the Shelf Shenanigans {Day 2}
The kids were so excited when Elfie arrived yesterday that Cole immediately made him a card. The inside says "you are the best". I thought it only fitting that he would wake up to find him reading his card in the morning.

Elf on the Shelf Shenanigans {Day 1}
We returned from our Thanksgiving vacation to find Elfie just hanging out on top of the TV. He had brought the kids the movie Elf (which is one of my favorites)!

Are you ready for some Elf Shenanigans???
Our elf {Elfie} is arriving tomorrow and I'm so excited for some more elf shenanigans. If you want to see what trouble our elf got into last year you can click here.
Book Suggestion: It's not too late to order your own Elf. You can get the The Elf on the Shelf from Amazon and it includes a delightful storybook and your very own elf!11/23/13
A Wine Advent Calendar
The other day I shared my Mini Liquor Bottle Advent Calendar that I created for my husband this year. This is a picture of the Wine Advent Calendar that a friend of mine made for me last year. She used the mini wine bottles that come in a 4 pack.

An Unconventional Advent Calendar
Last year a friend of mine created a Wine Advent Calendar for me (I'll share a picture tomorrow). This year I had the idea to create an Advent Calendar for my husband using miniature liquor bottles. I'm excited for him get to open a different type of booze every day.
First, go and print my free Christmas Countdown Labels.
Next, you're going to need 24 miniature liquor bottles.
Gather up 24 toilet paper rolls. Paper towel rolls or wrapping paper rolls work well too and you can cut them down to size.
You'll need some tissue paper and ribbon to make them look all pretty.
Insert the liquor bottle into the cardboard tube and wrap it up with the tissue paper. Stick on your labels and you're ready to go.

Christmas Book Advent
Every year (or at least for the past few years) I've done a Christmas Book Advent for the kids. I wrap up all our Christmas (and some winter themed) books and then every night we open one and read it. It's always the same books, although I have added a few new ones over the years. When Christmas is over I pack up the books along with the tree and decorations so when they come out again in December it's like they are new again. This year I wrapped them in brown craft paper and used my countdown labels on the front. I love, love, love the way it turned out.
If you want to create your own Christmas Book Advent you'll need to collect all your Christmas books. Don't have enough for the whole month, don't worry... I also use books with winter and snowy themes. Wrap them up in some paper. I used this Brown Kraft Paper. I bought a gigantic roll of it on Amazon a while back and I use it for everything. Table covers, gigantic coloring sheets, wrapping paper, I love it. Print out a set of my labels and you're all ready to go.

Send a Postcard from your Elf {Elf on the Shelf}
Are you getting your Elf ready for December? I am, I've been pinning ideas all over the place. I decided to take Elfie out to the beach the other day and take some "vacation" photos so he could send the kids a postcard. They ended up so cute I sent a postcard to each of them using Touchnote. You can upload a photo and they'll send the postcard for you.
Below are all the best of my beachy vacation photos. If you want to send your own Elf vacation postcard you can go here and download a high res copy of the photo you like. The ones available for download do NOT have my watermark on them so if you share them on your own site please be sure to link back to here. Happy Elfing!

Free Christmas Countdown Printable
I've got a free printable for you guys. These are some Christmas Countdown Labels that I made for a few non-traditional Advent Calendars that I'm working on. You can download them here. You can print them on paper or cardstock or sticker paper. I used 2x4 Avery Address Labels and they look great.
